Quetico Camping Permits and Reservations

Quetico Permits and Reservation Quetico Wilderness Provincial Park offers six entry points. Each provides the visitor with a different veiw or appreciation of the geography of the park. View a Quetico Wilderness Park Entry Point map.
  • Dawson Trail Ranger Station (40 km east of Atikokan) and Atikokan Ranger Station (in the town of Atikokan) are the only park stations accessible by car.
  • Cache Bay and Prairie Portage Ranger Stations border Minnesota.
  • Lac La Croix Entry Station is right by the Lac La Croix First Nations Reserve, and both Beaverhouse and the Lac La Croix entry stations are staffed by members of the Lac La Croix First Nations Band.
  • Contact the park at (807) 597-2735 in advance to receive trip planning information by mail.
  • Each park access station can issue a limited number of camping permits.
  • Visitors entering Quetico directly from the United States must obtain a Remote Area Border Crossing Permit from Canada Immigration (or by mail from Canada Customs) before crossing. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/rabc_e.html

Making a Reservation - General Information

The telephone service is offered 16 hours a day, 7a.m. to 11p.m. EST, 365 days a year in both official languages. You can use the telephone service to book campsites, back country sites, cabins, yurts and cottages operated by or for Ontario Parks.

Site specific reservations are available at 61 parks, payment at the time of booking for all camping fees will be required for this service.

Random campsite reservations only require the payment of the reservation fee at the time of booking. Bookings will be accepted up to 5 months in advance of your arrival, which means campers can call on November 1, 2003 to make a reservation for April 1, 2004, or for example February 1, 2004 for July 1, 2004.
